Uzbekistan Plans to Acquire Helicopters from Robinson and Airbus

TASHKENT Uzbekistan Airways press service) — On October 17, Uzbekistan Airways’s management negotiated with the director of the Uralhelicom company Alexei Mikhailov. The negotiations were held in the framework of the first inter-regional Russian-Uzbek forum, which takes place in Tashkent during the state visit of Vladimir Putin to Uzbekistan.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss cooperation in the supply of passenger helicopters from leading manufacturers of the Robinson Helicopter Company (USA) and Airbus Helicopters (Europe).

A. Mikhailov spoke about the scope of his company, its long-term partners, the types of helicopters supplied for passenger transport, sanitation, search and rescue, patrols of the terrain, air tours and presented his proposals on organizing the purchase of multi-purpose helicopters, their delivery, technical support during operation, service and others.

Uzbekistan Airways has shown interest in the company’s proposals and expressed its willingness to consider them. Representatives of the Russian company, in turn, also expressed interest in cooperation with the national carrier and hope for further mutually beneficial partnership.

Uralhelicom (“Ural Helicopter Company”) is the official dealer of the American helicopter company Robinson Helicopter Company and Airbus Helicopters and the official distributor of Eurocopter in Russia.
