Head of Bukhara International Airport Replaced

BUKHARA (UzReport) — A virtual meeting with participation of the management of the Bukhara International Airport was held on April 28 under the direction of Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports JSC Rano Dzhuraeva and members of the Board.

The meeting considered the measures taken to increase competitiveness of the airport and implementation of the cost optimization program, as well as further development of the airport.

As a result of the comprehensive review, the single shareholder of LLC Bukhara International Airport made a decision on the replacement of the airport director and appointed Acting Director of Bukhara International Airport Rahimov Jahongir Kahramonovich, born in 1977, who had worked at Bukhara International Airport for 20 years.

The newly appointed Acting Director was tasked to introduce a new staff chart and appoint managers for key positions after coordination with the management of Uzbekistan Airports JSC.

In addition, a new staffing structure of the airport was presented at the meeting with the aim to improve operations in line with international standards, optimise staffing levels and introduce a new performance based remuneration system.

Priorities were set before the new management to radically improve operational and business activities, reduce non-productive costs and improve the quality of passenger and aircraft service.
