TASHKENT (UzTAG) — The annual Central Asian Trade Forum will be held for the first time in Tashkent on October 17-18 with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

- In 2017 the forum in Almaty brought together over 1100 participants from 18 countries.
As the organizers informed, the annual forum will be held for the eighth time. The forum is a unique platform that allows the business community to learn about new opportunities in emerging markets in Central Asia with more than 70 mln potential customers.
This year the theme of the forum New horizons in the development of trade and investment reflects the growing openness of Central Asia for regional and international trade, especially in Uzbekistan. A number of measures are being taken in the country: from monetary liberalization to reforms in the business sector aimed at accelerating economic growth.
In parallel with the forum, a trade exhibition will be held, where enterprises from various sectors across the region will be represented, including transport, tourism, information technology, equipment, production and processing of fruit and vegetable products, and others.
In 2017 the forum in Almaty brought together over 1100 participants from 18 countries. With the first forum in Bishkek in 2011, business leaders, government officials and experts from Asia, the United States, Europe and the Middle East used the event as a platform for exchanging ideas, concluding deals and creating new partnerships and future cooperation.
