TACHKENT (UzTAG) — From November 21 to 23, the first wine festival in Uzbekistan will take place in Tashkent. It will be held in the national exhibition complex Uzexpocenter.

According to the Tashkent hokimiyat (“administration”), the first wine festival called The Art of Winemaking is organized at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan and is organized by the JSC Uzsharobsanoat with the support of the members of the organizing committee.

The festival will serve as a starting point to broaden the horizons of new winemaking, by strengthening the participation and development of cooperation of foreign experts and companies in the fields of winemaking, tourism and other sectors of the economy.

It should be noted that the festival will hold the first international scientific and technical conference Innovative Technologies in Winemaking and Viticulture, in which experts from Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, France, Georgia and other countries will participate.

The organizers stressed that the festival would reveal Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its culture and original arts, folk art and national cuisine in various parts of the country.
