MOSCOW — More than 3.4 mln Uzbek migrant workers have entered Russia since the beginning of the year, reported the public organization Migrants Russian Federation.
Of these, 1,573,791 people came to work there.
In the list of migrants, Tajikistan comes immediately after Uzbekistan, with 1,745,554 of its nationals coming to Russia, including 790,116 people to work. Next come Ukraine (347,272 people for work) and Kyrgyzstan (247,658).
Most migrants prefer the city of Moscow (1,249,664), St Petersburg and the Leningrad region (718,567), the Moscow region (343,508), the Sverdlovsk region (100,485). Other origins of migrants also include Krasnodar territory, Samara region, Novosibirsk region, Khanty-Mansi autonomous region, Krasnoyarsk territory, Irkutsk region and Tatarstan.
