TASHKENT (Toshkent shahar hokimligi Matbuot xizmati) — The Indian construction company Minerva World of Knowledge is investing $500 mln in housing construction in Tashkent.

A $500 mln investment agreement was concluded during a meeting with the company’s representatives at the capital’s hokimiyat (“town hall”). Negotiations on this subject had been conducted for four months.

According to Tashkent City Hall, the company intends to build residential complexes, universities and dormitories, medical and sports facilities, preschools and commercial and leisure complexes in the Sergeli district. These various facilities are to be built within the next five years.
