Tashkent (Satrapia) — The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will allocate more than $47 mln to Uzbek universities to finance the project Strengthening the material and technical base of higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan, the total amount of the project is $60.5 mln, of which $47.72 mln represents the IDB’s financial resources and $12.81 mln represents Uzbekistan’s own funds.
The main objective of the project is to provide 50 higher education institutions in the country with modern teaching and laboratory equipment.
