TASHKENT (UzTAG) — In January-June 2018, the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita in Uzbekistan amounted to 4.653 mln soums ($1 = UZS7787.81), which is 3.1% more than in the corresponding period of last year. In turn, in the first half of the year the volume of GDP in current prices amounted to 152,533.4 bln soums and in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year increased by 4.9% in real terms.

The index-deflator of GDP in relation to prices in January-June 2017 amounted to 135.4%.

The pace of economic growth is determined by the positive dynamics in the main sectors of the economy. The gross value added (GVA), created by all sectors of the economy, accounted for 85.5% of the total GDP and grew by 5% (contribution to GDP growth:4.4%). Net taxes on products accounted for 14.5% of the GDP structure and showed an increase of 4.5% (contribution to GDP growth: - 0.5%).
