TASHKENT (CCI Uzbekistan press service) — On October 25-26, 2018, the XI Eurasian Economic Forum was held under the title Art of Innovation: Economics of Trust and Business Diplomacy from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean in Verona, Italy. Following the meetings, Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Uzbekistan and the province of Como (Italy) have signed a cooperation agreement.

The business program of the event included discussions on key topics of development of economic cooperation between the countries of the Eurasian continent, such as prospects for the development of international trade relations, the possibility of using modern financial instruments, qualitative changes in the energy industry, mining, engineering, improving logistics and infrastructure, information and digital technology.

A special session was organized at the forum site dedicated to the presentation of the trade, economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan under the title Uzbekistan and Italy: joint projects directed to the future.

Following the meetings, the Agreement on Cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce of Uzbekistan and the province of Como (Italy) was signed, as well as the Cooperation Agreement with the Italian textile company ST&I. Spa, which provides for the establishment of cooperation in the development of the textile industry in Uzbekistan, as well as the introduction of advanced Italian experience in this field.
