Tajikistan Reduces Electricity Deliveries to Afghanistan

DUSHANBE (Asia-Plus) – According to the monthly report for May 2015, Monitoring and Early Warning in Tajikistan, a total electricity generation in April 2015 was 1,257 mln kWh. Electricity generation in April reportedly decreased by 16% compared to March 2015.

Last month, Tajikistan supplied 43.9 mln kWh of electricity to Afghanistan, nearly 35% less than in March 2015.

In March 2015, Tajikistan reportedly supplied nearly 66.5 mln kWh of electricity to Afghanistan.

Over the first four months of this year, Tajikistan has supplied nearly 220 mln kWh of electricity to the neighbouring country.
