NEW DELHI (WION) — Russia has rubbished reports that have emerged in the media that Moscow had tried to keep India out of the Afghan peace negotiations. Russian Embassy in India has said that such reports are based on ill-informed sources.

India aided the overthrow of the Taliban and became the largest regional provider of humanitarian and reconstruction aid to the present day Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Indians are working in various construction projects, as part of India’s rebuilding efforts in Afghanistan.
