LASHKARGAH (BNA) — Two top Al-Qaeda commanders were killed in a military operation in south of the country and four others including two women on charges of membership in this terrorist network have been detained.
The operation was carried out in the district of Gereshk of Helmand province on house allegedly being held by Al-Qaeda members.
Omar Zwak spokesman for Helmand governor told Bakhtar News Agency (BNA), Mullah Yaser and Mullah Jaber two top commanders of Al-Qaeda network were killed and four others including two women on charges of membership of this network have been detained.
The insurgents were suppressed while organizing of terrorist activities in a house.
Some local sources have also talked about the deaths of a woman from Al-Qaeda members in the military operation.
