Turkmenistan supports Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs

(Turkmenistan.ru) – The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) will receive $30 million from the state funds to be allocated by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to this effect.
The decree aims to ensure sustainable and rapid development of the national economy and further development of entrepreneurship in the country, as well as to provide strong public support to entrepreneurs in successfully fulfilling tasks under the State Programme on support to small and medium-sized business in Turkmenistan for 2011-2015.
Addressing representatives of the UIET, Turkmen Head said that one of the priorities of the socio-economic policy of Turkmenistan is to provide full support to domestic entrepreneurship, boost the share of private enterprises in the country’s GDP, to introduce on a large-scale the advanced market mechanisms into the economy to provide incentives for development of the production sector. He assured that Turkmenistan will help private businesses to create modern high-tech import-substituting industries, using local raw materials and competing with international manufacturers.
