ASHGHABAT (Turkmenistan State News Agency) — Turkmenbashi Oil Refineries Complex has commissioned new technological installations, said the Turkmenistan State News Agency Oct 10. The equipment is intended to produce high-octane motor gasoline meeting international standards.

The components needed for the high-octane motor gasoline production will be obtained through vacuum distillation of the fuel oil and refining of liquefied gas. After the commissioning of these installations, it will be possible to increase the output of high value added oil products.

Construction of a modern complex for production of asphalt oil and a plant for production of polypropylene film is also under way. In addition, the refinery is to launch the construction of a number of new modern facilities for production of road and construction bitumen as well as diesel fuel complying with international quality standards “Euro 5”. Other than this, it is to implement measures to increase production of synthetic base oil.

In total, the production complex is designed to obtain two million tons of fuel oil, and process 250,000 tons of liquefied gas and 230,000 tons of low-octane light gasoline a year.
