TEHRAN (Satrapia) — Turkmenistan is completing the construction of a new automobile bridge across the Tejen River at the Serakhs-Serakhs checkpoint in the Turkmen-Iranian border area. As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, Deputy Prime Minister for Transport and Communications Dadebay Amangeldiev said this at a government meeting.
According to him, the bridge is 96 m long and 15.1 m wide, with the capacity of about 2,000 cars/day. Overhaul of the Tedzhen-Serakhs motorway with a length of 105 km has already been carried out, leading to the new bridge. The commissioning of these facilities will contribute to an increase in the volume of trade between the two neighbouring countries and the intensification in regular international flights.
