Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Sign Agreement on Cultural and Humanitarian Partnership

ASHGABAT (Turkmenistan.ru) – Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan signed a number of bilateral agreements on cultural and humanitarian partnership, following the intergovernmental talks in Ashgabat. The delegation of Uzbekistan was headed by Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev, which arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.

Saparmamed Meredov
On 28 March of this year, Saparmamed Meredov (سفرمحمد مرادوف), who served as the curator of the Museum of Fine Arts, was appointed to Turkmenistan’s Union of Artists which is a creative voluntary and independent public association bringing together people doing fine arts and art studies.

As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports referring to the official sources, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on holding a joint contest among creative research projects. The Union of Artists of Turkmenistan and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan also signed an agreement on cooperation.

The sides noted that these documents demonstrate their commitment to strengthening the cooperation and enhancing good-neighbourly relations between the two brotherly peoples that reflect the realities in the steady development and expansion of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
