Ashgabat (Trend) – A delegation headed by a member of the Thyssen Krupp AG board is holding business talks in Ashgabat, an official Turkmen source said.
The company holds a leading positions in German industry, and is holding meetings at the Turkmen Energy and Industry Ministry and other bodies.
The company’s representatives have expressed an interest in establishing mutually beneficial ties, the source said. In particular, projects in the energy sector, transport, construction and industry were discussed.
As of 2010, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Germany was over $339 million.
According to the Turkmen Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Ministry, the country registered more than 50 enterprises with German capital, as well as about 100 investment projects and contracts with German companies.
The delegation is headed by Ferdinand Edwin Eichler.
