LONDON (Turkmenistan.ru) — A two-day forum titled Oil and gas of Turkmenistan — investment opportunities was held in London. It was organized by the State Agency for Management and Use of Hydrocarbon Resources under the President of Turkmenistan.

The forum was attended by representatives of the well-known oil and gas companies such as Malaysia’s Petronas Carigali, the Anglo-Arabian Dragon Oil, China’s CNPC, Italian ENI, Austrian Mitro International, German RWE and others. They discussed a wide range of issues relating to the prospects of further development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan and international cooperation in this field.

Particular attention was paid to issues related to attracting investments in developing new promising blocks in Turkmenistan’s sector of the Caspian Sea and major offshore projects.

The representatives of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan briefed the forum participants on the projects of mutually interest in the oil and gas sector, Turkmenistan’s investment policy, as well as the governmental plans for cooperation with foreign investors and attraction of new partners to the promising Turkmen market.
