(Turkmenistan.ru) – The Commonwealth of Independent States will send an observer mission to the presidential elections in Turkmenistan scheduled for February 12, 2012.

According to the press service of CIS Executive Committee, this issue was discussed today in Minsk at the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS member states to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS.

The Council members agreed that Chairman of the Executive Committee, CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev will lead an observer mission to the presidential elections in Turkmenistan, the report said.
