DUSHANBE (Satrapia) — The President of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (lower house of Parliament) of Tajikistan Shukurdjon Zuhurov met with the Emir and Prime Minister of Qatar as part of his official visit to that country.

In Doha, Mr. Zuhurov met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullo Ibn Nosir ibn Khalifa Al-Thani, on a wide range of issues related to the development of Tajik-Qatari political, trade and economic cooperation and security.

Issues relating to the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in the field of investment were discussed at a meeting between Zuhurov and the Executive Director of the Qatar Investment Organization, Mahmoud ibn Ibrohim Al Mahmoud.

An example of mutually beneficial cooperation was the construction of the Diyori Dushanbe residential complex in Dushanbe, built at Qatari settlements.

Zuhurov also met with the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, with whom he discussed the implementation of an intergovernmental agreement to facilitate the work of Tajik workers in Qatar.
