DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) — According to statistics released today by Tajikistan, the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) per capita at the end of 2020 amounted to just over 8,740 somoni.

The volume of the gross domestic product for the specified period was 82,543 mln somoni (≈$7.3 bln at the official rate).

The population of the republic during this period reached more than 9.4 mln people. Therefore, each inhabitant accounts for 8,740 somoni of GDP.

In dollar terms, Tajikistan’s GDP per capita for this period was $773.

Let us recall that the volume of the republic’s GDP at the end of 2019 was 77.3 bln somoni or 8,136 somoni per capita.

In 2018, this indicator was 68.844 bln somoni or 7,565 somoni per capita.
