DUSHANBE (TajikTA) — Citizens of Tajikistan can travel without visas to 58 countries of the world, as stated in the passport index compiled by the international consulting company Henley & Partners in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The Henley & Partners Passport Index is an international ranking of countries in terms of freedom of movement that they provide to their citizens. The index has been published since 2006 in collaboration with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest tourist information base.
In terms of the freedom of movement of citizens, Tajikistan in the specified index is located on the 83rd place. Uzbekistan occupies a little better place than Tajikistan, taking the 82nd place. Uzbek citizens can travel without visas to 59 countries.

Georgia rose to the 50th place (112 countries). Belarus 68th, Kazakhstan 69th position (76 countries). Azerbaijan 75th, Kyrgyzstan 78th, and Armenia the 80th place.
Russia ranked 47th, citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to visit 119 countries without a visa. In September 2018, the Russians received temporary visa-free access to Taiwan, which is valid until July 2019.
The owners of the most “convenient” passport were residents of Japan, who can travel to 190 countries without a visa. This is a record figure in the history of the rating. Previously, Japan shared first place with Singapore, but the Japanese were ahead, having received visa-free access to Myanmar.
The third line in the ranking is Germany (188 countries), the same indicator in South Korea and France.
The fourth place was shared by Denmark, Italy, Spain, Finland and Sweden.
