Tajikistan Received $ 46.5 Million Worth of Humanitarian Aid

DUSHANBE (Avesta News Agency) – 38 countries of the world have provided more than US $46.5 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year.
According to the Agency for Statistics of the country, more than 8,500 tons of wheat flour for $4.5 million, 515 tons of vegetable oil for some $800,000, $19.4 million worth of medicines and medical equipment, footwear and clothing for $1.4 million as well as food products and electrical appliances have been delivered to the country over the report period.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 41.9 %, the Netherlands – 7.2 %, China – 5.0 %. From CIS countries: Russia – 11.5 %, Kazakhstan – 3.1 % and others.
