DUSHANBE (TajikTTA) — Tajikistan’s electricity exports for eight months of this year in monetary terms amounted to over $62.2 mln, which is 56.6% or $22.5 mln more than the same period last year.

“Over this period, the volume of electricity production in the country amounted to over 13.5 bln kWh, which is 10.1% more than in January-August 2017”, the Tajik state statistics agency reports.

About 12.96 bln kWh of the total volume were produced by hydroelectric power stations. Just jn August this year, the country produced 1.965 kWh of electricity.
