DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) — According to a study carried out by the research institute of social policy of the Higher School of Economics, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan have the lowest level of wages among the CIS countries.
The HSE of Russia conducted a monitoring of the level of wages among the CIS countries in the dynamics of recent years, following which it published a report according to which the lowest salary level among the CIS countries remains in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
In 2017, the real wage level in Tajikistan was $137, in Kyrgyzstan $ 216.3. This is the lowest rate among the CIS countries and countries of the former post-Soviet space.
The highest level of wages remains in Russia ($670.9) followed by Kazakhstan ($459.1), Belarus ($421.9), Azerbaijan ($306.7), Moldova ($308.4) and Ukraine ($272.9). The rating is compiled taking into account the dollar exchange rates in the countries at the end of 2017.
The analysis was based on the data of the national statistical services, the statistical bases of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the CIS Statistics Committee, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
