DUSHANBE (TajikTA) — The Doha International Festival of Folklore and Traditional Spring Culture, featuring teams of creators from around the world, including Tajikistan, is taking place in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

“Tajikistan is represented by the Padida (پدیده) theatre studio under the direction of Sharofat Rashidova, distinguished artist of the Republic of Tajikistan”, reports the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The dance performances of the group Padida and the demonstration of Tajikistan’s traditional musical culture as part of the Doha Festival will last until 4 January 2019.

More than a thousand residents of Qatar’s capital and foreign tourists attend this festival every day, designed to strengthen international cooperation and popularize the ethnic traditions of the world’s peoples.
