Tajik Air TJD exempted from VAT and Duties

DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) — According to the press service of the President of Tajikistan, amendments on the State Budget for 2018 exempts the national airline Tajik Air and Tajik Railways from VAT and customs duties when importing aircraft, locomotives and modern cars into the country.

It is also proposed to consider the issue of exemption of 50% of customs duties for those enterprises whose list is approved by the government of the republic for the importation of fittings for sewing school clothes, as well as equipment for the agricultural sector.

It is also proposed to reduce by 50% customs duties on import of new technologies for the pharmaceutical industry, medical diagnostics, technologies for setting up the production of poultry feed and new cars.

It is noted that these products are also exempted from VAT payments, except for new cars, VAT payments for which amount to 50%.

The period of the planned inspection of the first reporting of activities of small business entities has been increased from 24 months to 36 months from the date of state registration of the entity.

It is emphasized that all the proposed legal acts, regardless of the time of their adoption and legalization, are effective from January 1, 2018.
