DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) —The President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on the occasion of his re-election.

In his cable, Rahmon declared:

I am pleased to note the excellent work done with you to broaden and deepen the overall mutually beneficial relations of friendship and cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus, which are now successfully developing into a strategic partnership.

We are optimistic about the foreseeable future of the multifaceted relations between the two States, and we see the main task for the coming period in their productive multiplication with new and creative examples of cooperation for the benefit of our peoples. I express my readiness for further joint actions in this direction.
