Members of the Government of Tajikistan and their Relatives to Report their Incomes

DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) — The lower house of parliament of Tajikistan (Majlisi Namoyandagon — مجلس نمایندگان) approved amendments to the Constitutional Law “On the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan” providing for the involvement of members of the government in disciplinary responsibility for violation of the oath.
According to the deputy Amirkhudo Damdor, all the members of the government and their close relatives are obliged to fill out and submit a declaration on income to the tax authorities.
In May 2016, the Constitution of Tajikistan was amended, according to which members of both houses of parliament take the oath of allegiance to the Motherland, and members of the government on loyalty to the president.
According to the requirement of the law “On Civil Service” from this year, all state employees are obliged to take the oath of allegiance to the Motherland, and there are more than 19,000 of them in Tajikistan
