DUSHANBE (Satrapia) — At the initiative of those in charge of public services in the city’s hukumat, taxes on household waste collection have been increased by an average of 10% since May 1, 2019.

“The government’s anti-monopoly officials reviewed the proposals of the district public service officials and, on the basis of the decision, approved the updated tariffs for this service”, said a representative of the Dushanbe Construction and Public Services Office.

The new rates are applied retroactively from May 1, 2019.

The new tariffs for waste collection in different areas of the city are defined differently: depending on the distance from the main landfill in Rudaki district and, consequently, transport costs are taken into account.
