Chinese to Build 2 Cotton Mills in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE (Avesta News Agency) – Minister of Agriculture Qosim Rohbar and Chen Dao Chuan, the director of Chinese company “Chuntay-Danghara-Sin-Sil-Textiles”, met to discuss the issues on construction of two cotton processing enterprises in Tajikistan, the country’s Agriculture Ministry said Monday.

The enterprises are expected to be built in Dangara and Jilikul districts of Khatlon province.

Chen Dao Chuan expressed his appreciation to the Tajik government for allocation of 15,000 hectares of land and offered to create Chinese Corner in these districts, where the Tajik farmers will be introduced with the activities of Chinese farmers.

The sides agreed to work closely in future to develop agriculture sector in the country.
