A Tajik-Uzbek Joint Venture to Manufacture Transformers

DUSHANBE (Avesta news agency) — On the occasion of the visit of the governor of Sogd province, Rajabboy Ahmadzod, of Khujandtogrmash LLC, the project to create a new Tajik-Uzbek company to manufacture transformers was announced.

It was noted that the future company will be created by Tajik and Uzbek investors using German technologies.

After the start-up of the company, dozens of people will be offered work and the local market will be provided with national electric transformers.

In Khujandtogrmash, the production of various types of electrical equipment, including pumping stations, has started. During 11 months of the current year, the company produced 2.5 mln somoni worth of equipments, twice as many as last year.

It should be recalled that in the Khatlon region, a processing plant operates. Since the beginning of this year, 273 power transformer units have been produced in the country.
