5,000 Citizens of Tajikistan Banned for Life to Travel to Russia

DUSHANBE (Khovar news agency) — Russia imposed a lifetime travel ban on 4,977 citizens of Tajikistan, who were diagnosed such infectious diseases as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis… According to senior specialist of the labour migration department of the Ministry of Labour,

Migration and Employment of Tajikistan Dustmurod Umbarov, to date more than 151,000 Tajik citizens are banned from entering the territory of Russia.

According to him, Russia lifted the entry ban for more than 106,000 citizens of Tajikistan, who were earlier banned from entering the Russian territory for three years for violating the rules of reside on the territory of Russia.

Umbarov noted that 12,262 citizens of Tajikistan were deported from Russia for 10 years for the purchase and use of false permits and other documents.
