Biden to End Support for Saudi Offensive in Yemen
Keywords: Saudi Arabia, USA, Yemen, Yemen War
PARIS (Satrapia) – U.S. President Joe Biden will announce an end to American support for the Saudi-led coalition’s offensive against Houthi rebels in Yemen, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Thursday.
Biden is expected to formally roll out the policy change during remarks at the State Department later Thursday.
Although a long-standing issue, Saudi Arabia’s war against Yemen gained momentum under the Obama administration, with that same Joe Biden serving as vice president. The turnaround of the Democrats on this matter seems therefore very puzzling and should be taken with caution. In any case, given the fragility of Biden’s presidency due to his son’s affairs and the strong suspicion of massive electoral fraud, it would be unlikely that the new policy announced could last long in the face of the discontent of Arab states.

MBS did not start the war and he isn’t going anywhere. Saudis fully support the efforts against Iran in Yemen. This is a Sunni vs Shiite war.
