TEHRAN (Ruptly) — Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with Zhai Jun, China’s special envoy on Middle East affairs, in Tehran on Tuesday.

During the meeting, both Zarif and Zhai reportedly praised strategic relations between Beijing and Tehran. Zhai reportedly also expressed Beijing’s willingness to maintain contact with Tehran in order to strengthen regional peace and stability.
