US Navy Fires Warning Shots to Iranian Vessels
NEW DELHI (WION) — A U.S. military ship fired warning shots after three vessels from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) came close to it and another American patrol boat in the Persian Gulf.
At approximately 8 PM on April 26, three IRGCN fast inshore attack craft (FIAC) failed to exercise due regard for the safety of other vessels as required under international law as they came into close proximity to U.S. naval vessels in international waters of the north Persian Gulf.
The IRGCN armed speed boats rapidly approached U.S. Navy patrol coastal ship USS Firebolt (PC 10) and U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat USCGC Baranoff (WPB 1318) to an unnecessarily close range with unknown intent, including a closest point of approach (CPA) of 62 m to both U.S. ships. According to U.S. Navy, Firebolt and Baranoff were conducting routine maritime security operations in international waters during the time of the incident.

After the leaked confession of the Iranian FM, we know two things: 1) the Iranian army is entirely under Russian control and faithful to Moscow; 2) Russia is doing its best to undermine the nuclear negotiations and doesn’t want Iran to open to the West.
Thus, this incident is most likely due to a Russian order to undermine the current negotiations in Vienna. What should be the EU’s response? We have a great interest in Ukraine and Belarus. They are far more important to us than Iran and the whole of the Middle East. We should leave Iran to Russia in exchange for Ukraine and Belarus.

The Islamic regime in Iran is in a bad shape and wants to create a diversion. There are demonstrations all over Iran every day: pensioners, unemployed, youth... The regime is trying to create an external crisis to excuse the internal difficulties and minimize them. But it doesn’t work, because people are not that dumb. I was talking to my cousin on WhatsApp, he tells me that it is on the verge of collapse.
