TEHRAN (TASS) — The German oil and gas company Wintershall, a subsidiary of BASF,{{}} has suspended its work on Iranian projects due to US sanctions, said Martin Bachmann, a member of the company’s board of directors.

Martin Bachmann said:

Under the current conditions, when US sanctions act against Iran, it is impossible to continue working for us as a European company. We must maintain access to the financial market. Therefore, we must stop our activity in Iran, unfortunately.
