The 12th North Caspian Regional Atyrau Oil & Gas Exhibition will be held on 16-18 April 2013 at the Atyrau Sports Complex in Atyrau, Kazakhstan. Previously, the event attracted 140 exhibitors and 4,258 visitors.
- To promote young talents within Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector, a Students Work Competition was launched as part of OilTech Atyrau. Students from the country’s top three universities presented their works to panel of renowned academics. 2012 winner was Anuarbek Tadjiyakov, a third year student from KazNTU who presented a paper on Developing methods for melting block sulfur using solar energy.
Located near some of the largest oil fields in Kazakhstan, including three of the world’s largest oil and gas fields (Kashagan, Tengiz and Karachaganak), Atyrau is the production hub for local and national oil companies.
This geographical location makes the North Caspian Regional Atyrau Oil & Gas Exhibition a special platform to showcase the latest technologies and solutions to the upstream, midstream and downstream market. 94% of exhibitors surveyed in 2012 plan to participate again.
Atyrau is also the starting point for the pipeline that links the Caspian’s oil fields to the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk. The region’s hydrocarbon wealth and Kazakhstan’s favourable investment climate provides numerous business opportunities for oil and gas companies.
The 11th North Caspian Regional Atyrau Oil & Exhibition was held on 3-5 April 2012, attracting 140 exhibitors and some 4,300 visitors. With an exhibition area of 2,700 m², this event increased twofold from the previous year. Major oil and gas companies from 15 countries participated at this event. It includes: Azerbaijan, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, along with new participants from Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania.
