SOCHI (Interfax) — The participants in the 10th round of negotiations on Syria in the Astana format in Sochi will discuss the establishment of a constitutional committee for Syria, United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said.
In a telephone conversation with Syrian Negotiation Commission (SNC) President Nasr Al Hariri on Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov said that the meeting on Syria in Sochi, provides a framework for resolving all issues pertaining to the settlement process in Syria.
The Syrian opposition delegation has arrived at the venue of the Astana format meeting in Sochi, a source close to the talks told Interfax. They may have separate meetings with Iranian, Turkish, Russian and UN officials.
