Separatists Take Control of Socotra in Yemen
DOHA (Al Jazeera) — The separatists in southern Yemen, supported by the UAE, have taken full control of the island of Socotra. The Southern Transitional Council (STC) declared that it had also deposed the governor of the island.
However, the government of Yemen, supported by the Saudis, called the takeover a coup.
