BAGHDAD (A24 News Agency) — Saudi Arabia opened a new consulate in Baghdad on Thursday, where the inauguration was done in the presence of both the Saudi and Iraqi Presidents of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, and Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, the Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment, Thamir A. Al-Ghadhban, Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq for Energy Affairs, and Iraqi Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ali al-Hakim, as well as other members of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council.
In celebration of this occasion, Saudi Arabia’s flag was raised above the consulate building.
