Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan Set Meat Import Quotas for 2012

(Bloomberg) – The Customs Union Commission of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan approved import quotas for meat, pork and poultry for 2012.
The limits for Russia are 30,000 metric tons of chilled cattle meat, 530,000 tons of frozen cattle meat, 400,000 tons of pork and 30,000 tons of pork trimmings, 70,000 tons of boneless frozen chicken, 250,000 tons of frozen chicken parts and 10,000 tons of frozen boneless turkey meat, the commission said today on its website.
Quotas for Belarus include 2,500 tons each of chilled and frozen cattle meat, 60,000 tons of pork and 15,000 tons of poultry and its products, the commission said. Kazakhstan’s quotas include 13,900 tons of frozen cattle meat, 9,400 tons of pork and 110,000 tons of poultry and its products, the commission said.
