Ritz-Carlton Plans Kazakhstan Debut by End of 2013

CANNES – The first Ritz-Carlton in Kazakhstan will open by the end of next year, said the hotel company at the International Luxury Travel Market in Cannes on Tuesday. The hotel in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s largest city, should quickly develop as one of the local community’s social and business centres.

Esentai Tower
Esentai Tower is the highest building in Almaty (37 floors) and is comprised of 22,260 m² of A+ class offices, 175 room JW Marriott and 30 serviced apartments. It is a part of the Esentai Park development, which includes Esentai Tower, Esentai Park shopping centre and three residential towers (21 floors each).

The 145 room hotel is located in the 37 storey Esentai Tower within the mixed use Esentai Park development project in Almaty which includes an extensive shopping mall, Fitness Club and residential complexes. The hotel, located in the centre of the city, will offer Club and Suite accommodation together with over 900 m² of meeting facilities.

Esentai Tower offices have been operational since November 2008 and include Ernst & Young, HSBC, Credit Suisse, Renaissance Capital and other blue chip names among their tenants on long-term leases. The offices are 77% leased and comply with the Kazakh and international norms for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural and life safety. JW Marriott hotel will be operated by Marriott International under a 30 year management contract. Facilities will include fitness centre, Six Senses spa, meeting and conference room facilities, executive floors, lounge, restaurants and the largest ballroom in Almaty.
