ASTANA (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — Kazakhstan’s newly launched airline Qazaq Air will start a flight service to Taldykorgan from Astana and Almaty in early November, Qazaq Air commercial director Adele Dauletbek said.
“Taldykorgan has been scheduled as our next flight destination. We would like to point out that the highway between Almaty and Taldykorgan is under repairs and commuting between the cities by road is complicated and time consuming. So it is very important to open a direct flight from Almaty to Taldykorgan and link Taldykorgan with the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana”, Dauletbek said on Wednesday at a briefing in Astana.
Qazaq Air is a new airline in Kazakhstan organized by the National Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna in 2014. It operates three Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.
Qazaq Air operates scheduled flights between Almaty and Astana, Pavlodar Kostanai, Shymkent; Shymkent and Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Atyrau and Aktobe and Kostanai and Atyrau.
