ALMATY (Interfax-Kazakhstan) — A Qatar Airways cargo aircraft made its first flight to Almaty, the Almaty International Airport says in a press release.

The new road was opened with the support of the Civil Aviation Committee and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Qatar.

Pharmaceuticals, spare parts and electronics were delivered to Almaty by a Boeing 777-200.

At first, the Doha-Almaty flight will be operated twice a week.
