The agreements include a charter regarding the long-term cooperation of oil-producing countries. Other agreements include a statement of intent between Roscosmos and the Saudi space commission on cooperation in the field of space financing and the global navigation satellite system GLONASS, and a memorandum simplifying visa issuance for citizens of both states.
Putin and King Salman also signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of culture and healthcare. After the talks with King Salman, Putin met with Saudi crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud.
This marks Putin’s first official visit to Saudi Arabia since 2007, with the Russian leader to continue his Middle East state call with a visit to the United Arab Emirates on October 15.
