Progress Spaceship Launched from Baikonur to Reach ISS in Record Time
BAIKONUR (Ruptly) — Russian cargo ship bound for the International Space Station (ISS) was launched atop of a Soyuz rocket into space from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in on Thursday.
The Progress MS-11 cargo ship is carried by Soyuz 2.1a rocket and is carrying around two tonnes of food, medicine, fuel and other supplies for the ISS’s six-person crew. The spacecraft is expected to dock with the ISS at 14:25 GMT, 3 hours and 24 minutes after the launch, which will be a record time for this kind of flight.
