No Emergency Meeting of the OPEC+ in the Context of the Events in Venezuela
MOSCOW (TASS) — There was no proposal to hold an emergency meeting of the OPEC+ Oversight Committee in the context of the events in Venezuela, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told reporters. For him, the global market’s response to events in the country is difficult to predict.
“There has been no such offer from anyone now”, Novak said.
Responding to the question of whether the political crisis in Venezuela may be a reason for the rise in oil prices, the Minister stressed that it was difficult to predict the reaction of the global market: “The market is very complex. And his reaction is difficult to predict.”
