ASTANA (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed was relieved from the post of Kazakhstan’s State Secretary and appointed Minister of Culture and Information. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed a appointment decree on Wednesday, the presidential press office reports.
Marat Tazhin, previously Security Council Secretary, was made State Secretary.
Bakhytzhan Sagitnayev, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade since January 2012, was appointed the Minister of Regional Development.
Nazarbayev also dismissed first deputy chief of the presidential security service Anuar Sadykulov and deputy Prime Minister Krymbek Kusherbayev.
He appointed Yerbolat Dosayev the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning dismissing him from the duties of the reformed Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
Head of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports Talgat Yermegiyayev was appointed Board Chairman of Astana EXPO -2017 national company.
