Minister of French Armed Forces Arrives in Beirut
BEIRUT (NNA) — Minister of the French Armed Forces, Florence Parly, has arrived at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut. Lebanon’s Caretaker Minister of National Defence, Zeina Akar, and French Ambassador to Lebanon, Bruno Foucher, welcomed the French Minister at Beirut Airport.

Florence Parly will welcome in the night of this Thursday to Friday, the helicopter carrier Le Tonnerre in charge of the various aids for the country. It will carry an Army Corps of Engineers as well as a detachment of Navy mine clearance divers. Its cargo also includes food aid, as well as construction materials provided by various French ministries and from private sector actors.
On visit, Florence Parly is scheduled to tour the site of the explosion and meet with President Michel Aoun, as well as with the Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Army, Joseph Aoun.
